Omnisend is an omni-channel suite that has email marketing, automation, SMS marketing and more, all in one package. It provides 24/7 email and phone support, and also integrates with APIs.
It offers forms, email and SMS campaigns, automation, content editor, reports including sales report, automation report, campaign report, audience segmentation and targeting. It also updates customers with Facebook Messenger and helps users reach subscribers with WhatsApp.
The cheapest paid Omnisend plan is the Standard tier, which starts at $16 for up to 500 contacts. The Pro plan includes unlimited emails and starts at $59 for 500 contacts. There is also a free plan that gives you access to all the major features of the standard plan, but with a monthly email limit of 500 emails to a maximum of 250 contacts.
When you first register with Omnisend, the first thing you will be prompted to do is to connect to your store. This simply involves copying and pasting the store’s URL into a box – Omnisend will do the rest. If you are connecting to a Shopify or BigCommerce store, all your existing contacts, products and orders will be automatically uploaded to your Omnisend account.
For any other platform, you will have to import the data manually. Please note that each Omnisend account allows only one store to be connected – so if you change your store to another service, you will need to create a new Omnisend account.
In the automation section of the site, Omnisend has a number of pre-made workflow templates that allow you to automate the process of sending a welcome email each time a new user signs up. These templates range from a single email to a series of short emails that allow you to follow up your first email with additional information.
If you’re looking for an email marketing service to help promote your online store, Omnisend is a far better choice than Mailchimp. Even if you put the eCommerce focus aside, Omnisend offers better value with a wider range of features across all plans. Even with the free tier, you get high-quality email templates, pre-built automated workflows, list segmentation, sign-up forms, and more. To unlock these features in Mailchimp, you’ll have to keep paying more and more.
